I've actually been a fan of http://www.pierfishingguide.com for a while now- it's in my bookmarks. Anyway, Skyway = BIG, Merry Pier = SMALL.  Still plenty of fish, and great variety. Situated as it is at the mouth of Boca Ciega Bay, it gets strong tidal flows, and everything in the Bay has to swim past it at some point. C'mon down sometime!
